Katy Takak joined the Goldstream Group as an evaluation apprentice in July 2023. As an apprentice, Katy is learning how to design an evaluation, collect and analyze evaluation data, and write an evaluation report. Her primary project is an evaluation of the Alaska Native Heritage Center’s internship program. Katy also supports and contributes to program evaluations in education, health, and social services.
Katy hopes to further her education by pursuing a degree, with a focus on Alaska Native studies. Additionally, she aspires to continue growing her knowledge in program development and evaluation. Katy was born in Frankfort, Indiana, but raised in Anchorage, Alaska – spending many summers in Shaktoolik, Alaska. After graduating from Denali PEAK homeschool, Katy lived abroad in Egypt. She currently resides in Anchorage with her son. In Katy’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors.
The apprenticeship opportunity is being provided through a collaboration between Goldstream Group and the Alaska Native Heritage Foundation.
